  1. Allow option for removing motherboard for typing socket types.

If you already have a capable motherboard then, it should be enough to just type what type of socket you have, so that the tool can generate appropriate CPU for your budget.

  2. Allow more in-depth customization options

For example, allow the user to add in their preferences for processors (either Intel or AMD), GPUs (nVidia or AMD), and the option to add an SSD or not. This could help users fine-tune their builds without having to jump head first into researching and attempting to piece together a PC on their own

  4. Ability to remove parts from the list

I'm using an ipad at the minute and it seems you cannot remove items in the list.

For instance I already have a graphics card bought, and would like a build selected without a graphics card but I cannot do this.

Can you add this option please?

  5. Increasing price for specific item

For example if I want to spend more that the amount stated for a part I could increase the money spent only on that part.

Apologies for not responding to this earlier

Sorry, but the build generator is not designed to allow for that much in-depth customization. However a link to pcpartpicker is provided for your own adjustments to be made if you feel that your needs are different to a basic gaming build.

    Thanks,
    Mark

  6. Micro Center

Just my opinion, but especially for cases Micro Center charges ridiculous shipping that can easily add $10-$20+ to the cost. For other items it isn't so bad. Unless you live near one, in which case it's fine. Possibly add an option to skip/add micro center prices. Or maybe just don't use Micro Center as a retailer for cases at least. Keep up the good work!

    Thanks for the suggestion!

It is personally my opinion that mATX is a fantastic form factor for the majority of people. It offers almost equal expand-ability with no big downsides.

However I appreciate that many people will want ATX for various reasons and so this is something I have planned for the future, possibly looking at the addition of mITX form factors too (although this will be a mammoth task with compatibility)

  8. Add the option to change Graphics Card, while lowering the spec of another part.

You would have the option to change the Graphics Card, to something more high end, then downgrading another part. i.e. Change a GTX 660 to a GTX 660 ti, then lowering a 1TB hard drive to a 0.5TB hard drive, or something along those lines.

  9. Generate only a list of selected parts

You don't always want a full build, so removal of different parts would be a nice feature to have. Already have a case? Just remove it with a button.

  11. Website Collaboration

    Hi,

My name is James. I co-own and write at PC Game Haven.

I was researching "build PC" posts and came across your article "ChooseMyPC.net | Gaming PC Build Guide".

My partner and I have a very active presence on Pinterest. We have boards with over 1 million followers.

I would be happy to promote the blog post on our Pinterest boards. I will drip feed the post across our 40 boards (over 1 million followers) over the next one month so you get consistent and regular traffic.

In return, would it be possible to edit the article "https://choosemypc.net/buildguide/
