Generate only a list of selected parts
You don't always want a full build, so removal of different parts would be a nice feature to have. Already have a case? Just remove it with a button.

Lock-in Parts
First, love the site! Great job!
There can be some pretty big differences in just moving the slider 1 tick... just pulling numbers out of the air, a $700 build might have an awesome GPU but moving the slider up to $720 downgrades the GPU in favor of a better CPU, case and an SSD. I recommend adding the ability to lock-in parts we like and force the selection of that part.185 votesThis is a pretty good idea, as well as the option to remove parts.
Ill consider adding this if the demand is there.

Sliders for each part
Say if I want a better GPU, I might give it up for a worse motherboard. Basically adding sharing sort of system, one you would see on the humble bundle money dispersing system.

Thanks for the suggestion!
It is personally my opinion that mATX is a fantastic form factor for the majority of people. It offers almost equal expand-ability with no big downsides.
However I appreciate that many people will want ATX for various reasons and so this is something I have planned for the future, possibly looking at the addition of mITX form factors too (although this will be a mammoth task with compatibility)

Create different build generators for different computer usage.
It seems the generator favors performance gaming. Placing the slider at $1800 (The price of a recent build of mine int which I bought a GTX 770) it still suggests 2-way SLI GTX 780's, but only an i5 4670K. If one were a video editor or 3-D modeler perhaps, they would benefit a lot from a faster processor, and wouldn't necessarily need that level of graphics performance.
I suggest you have another option to choose what you will be using the computer for. Options could include gaming, 2-D graphics, 3-D graphics, or a balanced/neutral build.
Thanks
73 votesThe build generator currently is very much aimed towards maximising gaming performance and is not aimed at people how want a build for other uses currently.
However plans are in the works to add other build uses.
Thanks for the feedback and I will keep supporters of this notified of any changes,

Prioritizing Parts
As a semi-advanced feature, it would be nice to be able to have some more buttons (like the OC or not buttons) that would prioritize/weight different components. "I only play games", "I play some games", "I never play games"... maybe a follow-up to each of those: If you select "I only play games", ask: "What type of game(s)?" with a few check-all-that-apply options: FPS, MMO, Simulators

RYZEN
Add support for the recent wave of AMD Ryzen CPUs, which outperform comparable Intel CPUs for the price, are ALL overclockable, and ALL offer equivalent multi-thread tech.

Option for a Monitor
Have an option to add a monitor into the build generator. Maybe have the option to choose the resolution and screen size.

Intel/Nvidia or AMD
You should include an option that asks if you want a Intel+Nvidia parts or AMD. Some people prefer certain companies so this can help then out.

Allow option for forcing AMD or Intel
I'm an AMD fanboi and I want the generator to force choose an AMD processor but keep getting an i3 suggestion.

Add monitor/keyboard/mouse options
Maybe add an option for a compatible monitor that will have either the correct ports or maybe a refresh rate to match the build. Because this site services a lot of newcomers to the PC world, you could assume that many of them only own a laptop and will be needing monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

AMD vs Intel
Gamers love the brand war. Whether it's Sony vs Xbox, or Intel vs AMD, we choose our side. Give an option to select just the brands we want.

Add support for The Netherlands
It would be pretty nice if you could add support for The Netherlands, i will be glad to help.
On a side note, all the available hardware in The Netherlands is monitored on our tech site www.tweakers.net, in the pricewatch section.

What the computer is intend for
The website is kind of smart since a lot of people don't know component picking, but if they don't know components. They don't know if they get components that may not be suited for what they are intending to use their rig for. So I think you should be able to, as an optional setting, set whether you are planning on using it as purely a gaming rig (in other words, an i5 and better graphics is what you need), but if you are looking for an editing rig an i7 and more ram and the graphics isn't as important…

Option to choose nvidia or amd
You should allow for there to be an option to pick nvidia or amd video cards as most people will probably have a preference.
