  1. Add a guide for first-time builders, or link to one

A guide for first-time builders on what steps to take when building, and what goes where, would be useful. Guides like this already exist, so if you don't feel the need to make one yourself to match the tone of your site, you could just link to an existing one!

  2. Remove more items from the list for carrying over items from past builds

Give the ability to remove RAM and GPU, so it's possible to see upgrade ideas

  3. Remove OutletPC listings from your parts database

    https://www.resellerratings.com/store/Outletpc

Outletpc.com has poor ratings overall, with more 1-star ratings than 5-star ratings. They might have marginally lower prices on some items, but with ratings that poor, customers are paying for lower price with a lack of customer service. You guys are better off recommending a different seller.

  4. Not include parts we have in budget. (Ram)

Just like how you can choose to not include a hard drive or case or power supply, could we tell you what ram we already have if we dont want to buy more?

As "changes in RAM speed make a negligible impact on overall performance"

  5. Add support for the Netherlands

Many prices vary a lot in the Netherlands when comparing them with the United States, it can make a difference of hundreds of dollars/euros, which is a bummer after you think you just built your pc: it turns out to be much more expensive.

  6. Add more stuff to the things I don't need

So for example I have several, HDD in good condition lying around. I don't need to buy a new one. I'd like to put that extra money into some other stuff, so I'd like to be able to recalculate what's in my budget when taking into account what I already own

  7. Color wheel for background color on sleeves page.

First off, really like the sleeve color configurator. The only thing wrong with it is the background color. Most peoples case is not white inside. The contrast between the cables and background is important. Adding a second color wheel for background color would be great addition, and easy to implement. This would allow people to match the background color of webpage, the the internal color of their case, to get a more accurate representation of contrast they will see in their case.

  8. Add support for newer parts

The only GPUs I see being recommended are the 380, 390X, and the 980Ti and SLI/Crossfire variations. Some people may not want to have a dual GPU system and some people might want an RX or 10 series card. Where is the support for that? What about Skylake and Kaby Lake? They don't seem to exist either.

  9. Make sure the CPU and mobo are compatible

If you pick $900 Canadian, no overclock, no windows, no optical drive, and no rebates, it recommends an i3-4170 and an h110 mobo. Isn't the 4170 an LGA1150 and the h110 an LGA1151?

  10. Update with new parts

The parts that get recommended seem old. My suggestion is either open it up to more people to edit and update, or some kind of voting system for adding a new part.

  11. Sleeving Configurator implementation

    Hi,

My name is Adam and I'm currently setting up a small custom handmade sleeved cable company in the UK.

Been sleeving for a few years now and thought its best time to start showing my skills off to the modding market.

Been using your Sleeving Prototyper since forever and was wondering if we, with your permission of course, could implement this on our site as an additional section to our custom coloured cables. Customers would pick which cable extension they desire and then the next page would take them to your prototyper on our site

    Any questions then please…

  15. Be able to choose cpu power over gpu power

All of the low-ish end builds use the fx 6300, when they could easily have an i5 4570 with just a slightly cheaper graphics card

  17. Add your own parts

You should be able to pick your own parts before the generator picks, so you can choose certain parts that you need in your build. Like i7 4790k over the i5 4690k

  18. Choices for the users

I think there should be more choices for the users, such as their CPU/GPU brand preference, like AMD or Intel, AMD or Nvidia... that's all.

  19. Add in options to change GPU or CPU

I actually currently have a good GPU and don't want to change it, so I would like to actually remove the GPU from this build and upgrade the CPU a bit more.

  20. Select how much memory and how much hard disk space is required

CPU speed, GPU speed is pretty variable, most people know how much space they want to fill on an HDD and content creators know how much memory they need, I think having these as locked values could be really useful.

So you'd lock in the minimum RAM, lock in the minimum storage space and then use the slider to affect everything else.
